Elemental Industries (Ei) has established itself as a leader in precision engineering and custom manufacturing across the aerospace, defense, and consumer sporting arms markets. Founder Ian Smith, a Tennessee Tech graduate with over 15 years of engineering experience in aerospace, petrochemical, and nuclear industries, combined his technical expertise with a passion for precision shooting. Having competed in precision rifle competitions since 2009, Ian launched Ei with a vision to advance the industry from the ground up—or, as he puts it, the element level.
Today, Ei operates three divisions serving commercial and OEM customers, law enforcement and military contracts, and providing contract engineering services. As a federally licensed FFL/SOT, Ei offers cutting-edge rifle manufacturing and engineering solutions for the DoD, LE, and private sectors. Ei also proudly supports the shooting community with a dedicated team of over ten shooters and multiple sponsorship endorsements, underscoring its commitment to growing the sport and advancing innovation in the field.
